Composed with entirely synthesised sounds, this piece explores the deconstruction of the Roland TB-303 and the Yamaha DX7, two of the most famous synthesizers ever made. The sound materials are continually morphed and recontextualised throughout the piece to create an aesthetic movement away from the idiomatic and often stereotyped synthesizer sound world.

ensnared:
The deconstruction and transformation of a single, lofi snare drum recording. A listener is presented with an obscured sound source, before being taken on a journey towards the reveal of the unaltered snare drum in the piece’s closing moments.
